Actually, they are:

sage: R.<x,y,z> = QQ[]
sage: S = R.quotient([x^3-x-y^2, z*x-1]); S
Quotient of Multivariate Polynomial Ring in x, y, z over Rational  
Field by the ideal (x^3 - y^2 - x, x*z - 1)

Singular is being used here. I don't think all rings are supported  
yet though.
