Besides numerical noise, I get a bunch of doctest failures triggered by errors of the form
OSError: [Errno 12] Cannot allocate memory: '/scratch/sage-4.0.rc1/ tmp' I think this is believed to be a known issue with Python 2.5 on Fedora x86-64; see tickets #5218 and #6151, which I believe are due to be addressed in 4.0.rc2.
