Hi folks,

Sage 4.1.1.alpha1 is out for your bug squashing pleasure :-) Source
and binary are available at

http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/mvngu/release/sage-4.1.1.alpha1.tar
http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/mvngu/release/sage-4.1.1.alpha1-sage.math.washington.edu-x86_64-Linux.tar.gz

The upgrade path is

http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/mvngu/release/sage-4.1.1.alpha1/

If you upgrade to 4.1.1.alpha1, you would be (immediately) dumped into
a text editor to enter a commit message. That is due to the removal of
executable bits from

SAGE_ROOT/local/bin/sage-README-osx.txt

when I assembled 4.1.1.alpha1, which was suggested at ticket #3687.
However, when one upgrades to 4.1.1.alpha1 the executable bits for
that file would be restored, which accounts for the prompt to enter a
commit message. Just enter a sensible commit message and quit the
editor, saving your message as well. If you want to help out with
resolving this annoyance, see ticket #6625.

With this release, Sage is now in feature-freeze mode. From now until
the release of 4.1.1, only bug fixes would be merged. The following
tickets were merged in Sage 4.1.1.alpha1:
