Yes, my mistake. When you open the ticket, it would be worth putting your VirtualBox version too. I doubt that has anything to do with this, but that is one difference - I'm not running a virtual machine. But one of the mpir maintainers can hopefully tell you how mpir decides you can only have a 32-bit ABI whereas I can have a 64-bit one. Clearly you have a 64-bit install of Open Solaris.
