I had errors building sage-4.3.1. The trouble came after this warning:
sage-spkg fortran-20100118 2>&1 Warning: Attempted to overwrite SAGE_ROOT environment variable fortran-20100118 Eventually I got: Error installing Fortran: You must install gfortran or set SAGE_FORTRAN (and possibly SAGE_FORTRAN_LIB). This is on an ubuntu system which never failed to build sage before. If anyone wants to look at my install.log, it is here: http://sporadic.stanford.edu/bump/sage-4.3.1-errors Dan
