Hi Dave, Have a look at the following ticket: http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/8263 where SAGE_TIMEOUT, SAGE_TIMEOUT_LONG, and SAGE_TIMEOUT_VALGRIND are described together with their default values. Just reset them to whatever you think is appropriate for your machine.
