I've created a ticket
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/8409
that list all the patches need for Sage on Solaris. It is broken into two groups
1) Those needed for the build to succeed.
2) Those needed for all doc tests to pass.
With a bit of care, 4.3.4 should build and pass all tests, though it would of
course rely on someone something else to break the build.
