Hello, It looks that #9343 is more or stable now (for a while now, the only issues have to do with porting).
I think it's time for somebody to look at #9400. It's a patch written by William with additions by me. It changes quite of bit of NumberField code and also cleans up various functions in sage/libs/pari/gen.pyx I would like to see #9400 merged at the same time as #9343, because both of these have a large influence on the number field code and change a large number of doctests. There are several tickets on which I would like to work, but which potentially depend on #9400. Note that everybody which has compiled and tested sage-4.6.prealpha2 or 3 (see http://wiki.sagemath.org/NewPARI) has already doctested #9400, so breaking doctests is not the issue for #9400.
