Minh already suggested gtk-recordmydesktop (in the other thread), but I'd like to add that you don't need anything fancy to place video of yourself on top of the screencast, you can just place a small window with the video from the webcam above the browser.
For example, in debian or ubuntu, open "gstreamer-properties" and "test" the "video input". Place that window "above all others", choose the size and place it where you want, then record a plain vanilla screencast. vlc almost works, but mess up the audio for recordmydektop. If you choose the settings carefully and remove 3d effects, you can record with any computer. But of course, if you're doing heavy computation, the video may not be good. A simple solution might be to connect to the sage notebook in another computer. Not necesarilly better than merging two separate videos, depending on your experience. -- To post to this group, send an email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to sage-devel+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URL: http://www.sagemath.org
