I found the following by googling: http://www.enthought.com/epd/mkl/ A developer once told me that MKL was worse than ATLAS. Perhaps it depends on the platform? Either that or Intel have really improved it in the last few years. Sad that MKL is only "free for personal use", not "Open and Free Period". Sorry I didn't really answer your question. Bill.
