Based on sage-4.7.alpha5,  I get 20.6 seconds on x86_64 GNU/Linux,
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU         530  @ 2.93GHz

However, I have my patch from #11115 applied - if the sandpile code
does a lot of caching, it could easily explain the good timing.
