As I said earlier, I didn't know then when you contacted me.

Note that I replied to you on 01st July 2011, but the ticket [1] you
refer to was opened by Syamkrishnan C K, not me, on 03rd July 2011. It
is unfair of you to accuse me of being cavalier. I have no objection
to you working on quasigroup cryptography for Sage. Just provide me
with your full name, preferred username, and contact email address and
I'll be more than willing to setup your trac account.

A main idea of open source development is collaboration. As I said
above, just provide me with the relevant details I request above and I
would setup your trac account. Then you could collaborate with the
person who opened ticket #11567. I really haven't been active with
Sage development for over six months now and I haven't kept track I
what's happening with the cryptography module of Sage. It's usually
the case that the person listed as a module maintainer doesn't know
everything that's going on with the module. If you have an idea to
discuss, it's best not to email a module maintainer directly, but send
an email to the sage-devel [2] mailing list. Also post working code to
the trac server. That way, you have evidence of prior art.

If you suspect that someone has used your code without due
acknowledgement, please contact them directly. From your communication
above, I think that you suspect that Syamkrishnan C K has used your
code without due acknowledgement?

Generalizing from the misdemeanour of one individual (whom I suspect
isn't even a long-term developer of Sage) to the whole Sage community
is far-fetched in the least.

William is a very busy person, just like everyone else who is involved
in Sage development. We all have our day jobs and the majority of us,
indeed all of us, work on Sage in our spare time. If you suspect
someone of being underhanded (e.g. using your code without proper
acknowledgement), please state your case clearly with sufficient
details so we could help you deal with the issue as best we could.

Before the misunderstanding you have in mind is cleared up, it's good
to not be sarcastic and bitter with myself or the whole Sage community
in general.
