http://wiki.sagemath.org/SupportedPlatforms
has not been edited for 6 months and I suspect is rather out of date. There's
references to feature X not working, but should be fixed in Sage 4.6.
Neither Solaris 11 or Centos Linux are listed as "fully supported", though both
are under "Expected to work".
I might be able to provide build-bots for them in the near future, as I'm
setting up a Solaris 11 (x64) server and possibly a Centos one too.
The only issue is that it might be necessary for someone to manually (but
remotely) switch the machines on prior to running the buildbot. I think all the
servers I have (two IBM's and a Sun) support remote power on/off. So it might
need the release manage to
1) SSH to one port, and power the machine up.
2) Run the buildbot on another port.
3) Shut the machine down after he has built Sage to conserve power.
Let me know if you think this would be useful.
I'm in the process of acquiring some RAM for these servers. Currently one has 4
GB and two have 8 GB, but I hope to upgrade the machines to 16-48 GB each.
Processors will range from 4 cores of AMD Opterons at 2.2 GHz, to 8 cores of
Intel Xeons at 3.16 GHz.
