IBM discontinuing AIX? Is this some kind of joke? IBM is more than happy to sell Power7 systems with AIX. But if you have the hardware lying around and no money to buy a recent AIX version then there are also plenty of linux options. The only thing that is for sure is that you can't run Windows on them ;-)
