To give you an impression why this takes so long: I have to build sage to compile the documentation. This is inside this new VM. So, first, m4 was not installed -- that's easy to fix. Then, atlas did tune itself to hell -> re-discovered and already forgot again the flag to teach it not to do this. Ok. Now I checked back, and it didn't finish to compile. The reason is, pynac complains about some python paths when you try compiling it as root. Besides that, I think about just using the binary distribution, but I remember Minh once told me that one has to do this from source to get all the necessary files for the documentation.
