are you saying that the spkg hash for maxima is not to be trusted?
No, but as you know, Gmane sometimes is slow, so I didn't see he already
replied he had tried sage -f ecl and maxima.
Besides that, the "spkg hashs" are only for the upstream tarball (hence
pretty redundant regarding /corruption/, as both gzip and bzip2 already
create and check checksums); in theory at least, the file could get
patched by Sage, such that the "spkg hash" alone wouldn't tell much.
