Thanks, apparently I'm not part of the community. In the same ticket (and perhaps #15642 which is closely related), the > author sets himself the ticket into a positive_review in the name of > emergency that some server is not available at UW anymore (if i understand > correctly). > Correct. And it still boggles my mind how you though that it is a good idea to just wait and leave a ticket sitting at needs_review when something urgently needs to be done before the hosting at UW goes away. I just did what needed to be done. Emergency is always dubious as it allows power concentration. Perhaps there is some parallel universe where being the release manager is a gratifying paid job that brings you the respect of your peers. I'm pretty sure that ours is different. You are welcome to take over any time, just let me know. > I can understand that there are currently some hosting issues at UW, so: > - it could be nice to make them transparent for the people that do not > have access to those servers to get the actual picture Just read sage-devel, e.g. https://groups.google.com/d/msg/sage-devel/7hyDREeIBmo/1fWGD9L1hYwJ. Nothing can be hosted at UW in the near term. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-devel" group.
