Good. Then what is the problem? You just learned in this thread that
whatever you would have had to deal with (wrong licenses, no build
system, exchange emails with the code's author) has been done for you,
and that if you want to package it for debian all you have to do is
wait for the author to make the necessary changes to his repo.

Just wait man. It will look better in three months or something.
