This argument is a bit dangerous, as it suggests that we, as a
community, would shut up for money. Granted, bashing any group
whatsoever can be very counter productive by alienating potential
users and collaborators; this is one practical reason to avoid it. But
the main reason is that it's unethical and non scientific.
