Indeed, you can use it

$ sage -sh -c "python3"
Python 3.5.1 (default, Apr  7 2017, 09:24:58)
[GCC 6.3.1 20170109] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.

BTW, I wonder why Python3 is not visible in the jupyter notebook... would be nice to have it available in the list of kernels.
