This doesn’t seem to be a generic problem:  i don’t see the “memory 
fault/segmentation error” on macOS 10.11.6,  This is  8.1-b7,  on a Quad-core 
Core i7 mid-2015 MacBook Pro.

Compiler?  Assembler?  Software mismatch with hardware?
