Based on the message, your SAGE build is probably incomplete or
totally broken.

(0) Did the build finish?
If you type "make" in SAGE_ROOT, does it start building actually packages,
or does it flash some messages by and say the build completed successfully?

(1) If you do "make test" in SAGE_ROOT (the root of your sage install),
do the tests pass?

(2) Did you build from source or install a pre-built binary.  If from source,
could you try instead installing a binary, since that's built correctly.
