About SAGE: I cannot access the optional packages (after doing a fresh install and build of 2.5.0.2, all successful on a debian etch machine running gcc version 4.1.2 20061115: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -optional Using SAGE Server http://sage.scipy.org/sage//packages http://sage.scipy.org/sage//packages/optional/list --> /usr/src/sage-2.5.0.2/tmp/list [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/usr/src/sage-2.5.0.2/tmp/list' I tried changing to SAGE_SERVER=http://sage.scipy.org/sage/ but that did not work either. No prozes for guessing which optional package I was going to install! John -- Prof. J. E.
