Dear Sir,
It has come to my attention that you are searching for students for this summer's GSoC, a position for which I would like to apply. I am currently studying Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the Ensimag in France and I am quite interested in working on a mathematical software system: such tools are one of my passions and over the years I have become rather proficient in them. For instance, I have developed several libraries for the TI-Nspire software, including a library that adds 3D support to the software (a video of this can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq1pkZOE8oQ&list=UUzOgzcLuKrHM4j5scMyRj7w). Despite TI-Nspire’s advantages, working with proprietary software is restrictive, as I was not able to implement all of the ideas I had for that platform. As a result, being able to work on an open source project would be a priceless experience for me. On a more practical level, I have never programmed in Python, but I am quite familiar with object oriented programming and I am confident that I could learn that language in little time. I am attaching my resume to this letter and hope to hear from you in the near future. Kind regards, Joseph Garrone Resume : https://www.dropbox.com/s/novjaes2uqbshcu/CV_joseph-garrone.pdf PS:I applied before thé deadline on thé facebook page of SAGE. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-gsoc" group.
