Hi everyone,

I'm a first year pure math graduate student at Florida State University and
am interested in algebraic geometry. I have experience contributing to Sage
and would like to work on expanding the functionality Sage has for generic
algebraic curves as a GSoC project. I've discussed topics and potential
mentorship for this project with Ben Hutz. Currently the main topics for
the expansion are analysis/resolution of singularities, intersection
analysis, plane curve models, and rational parameterizations. I've written
up a draft of my project proposal and shared it with SageMath via the GSoC
2016 application website. Any feedback or suggestions would be welcome.

Thank you,
Grayson
