Hi! I only yesterday discovered the GSoC opportunity and I have a long-pending project that would be ideal to start and complete under this scheme. If it's not too late, here's the (description and the) question. There's a ticket open to integrate Flagmatic package into SageMath #17391 <http://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/17391>. I worked on Flagmatic's extensions for a while and it would seem that Flagmatic-2.0 reinvents a wheel every now and then. Also, it is not automatically compatible with new versions of Sage. Hence, as the ticket suggest, it would be great to have Flagmatic as a standard package in Sage. Moreover, the functionality could be extended from graphs, digraphs, and 3-graphs to permutations, coloured graphs, partial orders, etc. The question is, would anyone be willing to act as a mentor for this project? I can code in python, am a bit rusty in C, and I have a good knowledge of flag algebras (worked on them for 2-3 years at the LSE and Warwick for graphs and 3-graphs and now I am using them at The Open Uni for permutations).
Thanks for any reactions that I might get about the (im)possibility of this! Best, Jakub -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-gsoc" group.
