Hi,
My name is Swastik Banerjee, and I'm a *3rd year CS undergrad from SRM
University*, Chennai.
I aim to pursue research in Theoretical Computer Science in my future,
and I'm particularly interested in* Number Theory*, *Combinatorial and
Graph Optimizations*, *Cryptography* and *Algorithms and Complexities*. I
have *previously been a research intern at the Indian Statistical
Institute*,Kolkata
on *Cryptology*, and I'm also *an ACM ICPC Asia Amritapuri Regionalist*
*(Honorable
Mention* 2019-'20).
I have known Sage for almost 2 years now, although it is quite
recently that I have started using it myself, along with Mathematica
(although I find a few features of Sage strikingly unique), and now I want
to make some contributions to the community.
I am currently exploring the existing graph algorithms already
available in Sage, and going through the Developer's Documentation to get
acquainted with the interface of CoCalc.
I have previously implemented Graph Algorithms and solved
graph-related problems on my own, and hence I am also looking for Active
Tickets in Trac that match my expertise so that I can start with
contributing to some basic open issues.
Regarding GSOC, the projects "*Diameter, Radius, Eccentricities, and
Distances*" and "*Database of generators and of "sporadic" examples of
distance-regular graphs*" particularly grab my attention and also match my
current expertise, as I'm currently also pursuing self-reading graph theory
on my own and I've been reading books like Douglas West's, etc to develop a
deeper understanding on Graph Theory.
Looking forward to make some positive contributions and develop a good
relation with the Sage community in the upcoming months.
Thanking You,
With Regards,
Swastik
