Dear Zilya, Any of the standard texts on representation theory are good references. In particular, those on the symmetric group or simple Lie algebras such as Sagan's *The Symmetric Group*, Fulton's *Young Tableaux*, or *Representation Theory* by Fulton and Harris. However, aspects of this project will not have much utility for graph theory as far as I know.
