You should be more specific when you say "I find your ideas for the Google Summer of Code quite interesting". There are 10 very different proposals on our wiki page https://wiki.sagemath.org/GSoC/2020 If you want to postulate for a GSoC with us, you should start becoming familiar with SageMath environment and development. Have a look at - the developer guide: https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/developer/ (and more generally SageMath documentation https://doc.sagemath.org/html/) - the trac website where all development happens https://trac.sagemath.org/ You can already start contributing to some simple tickets to get familiar with the development framework.
