Do you mean to say that an update to the system arb does not cause a
rebuild of sagelib?
(otherwise, what's inconsistent?)


That's obviously not being checked, and there is no easy way to do this,
either.

Yes, system updates are tricky.

  make sagelib-clean sagelib-uninstall

will help.
