What sort of computer, installation, etc., do you have?  Is your cygwin fully
up to date?  I used to have that problem a *lot* more than lately... in fact,
I don't remember seeing it for a while under cygwin.

By the way, I made a small mistake in sage-2.3, and one thing won't fully
build in cygwin (sage-2.2 does, and sage-2.3.1 will).   Thus I recommend
you wait for sage-2.3.1, which I'll probably release on Friday, or
build sage-2.2 instead.  Or, better yet, grab this file

      http://sage.math.washington.edu/tmp/sage-2.3.0.1.spkg

and put it in

     sage-2.3/spkg/standard/

then continue your build with "make".
