can read:

sage: var('x, u, v')
(x, u, v)
sage: f = expand((2*u*v^2-v^2-4*u^3)^2 * (-u)^3 * (x-sin(x))^3)     # not 
tested -- trac #946

This seems to work now:

sage: var('x, u, v')
sage: f = expand((2*u*v^2-v^2-4*u^3)^2 * (-u)^3 * (x-sin(x))^3)
sage: f.factor()
u^3*(2*u*v^2 - v^2 - 4*u^3)^2*(sin(x) - x)^3
