I wonder if this is a permissions issue - ? I have had some similar problems in the past, some of which were permission-related. Others I think arose from changes to the notebook and I never figured them out, nor was I able to reprduce them (so I never filed a ticket), but that was about a year ago, and I have not had problems since.
