I am writing a manual for a Sage package I am developing. It seems natural to use Sphinx/reST. I made an independent installation of Sphinx and eventually realized that to typeset mathematics, I need to write, for example, :math:`\Gamma` instead of Sage's cleaner version: ` \Gamma`. The latter is obviously preferable (and $'s would be even better, of course).
Any suggestions?
