Hi, A student encountered an error when running sage from the command line on OSX 10.6. When she tries the command
sage: point((3,3)) sage crashes and OS X gives the message, /Applications/sage/local/bin/sage-sage: line 199: 5436 Abort trap sage-ipython "$@" -i sage does not crash when creating a point, only when trying to show it, and only from the command line. In Linux, this works fine, and I realize this is OSX so maybe it shouldn't work at all. She didn't try it before upgrading to 10.5, so we were wondering if (1) this is expected behavior; (2) if not, (2a) does anyone else encounter this problem on OSX, or is her computer bonkers? (2b) is there a possible fix? that is, is there a missing program that sage is trying to call, but failing & thus crashing, so she can fix this by installing the program? regards john perry --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-support@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to sage-support-unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
