Thank you for your speedy reply . I have downloaded sage meant for Ubuntu 8 but I am trying to install it on Ubuntu 10.04.
I have place the sage folder in my home directory and renamed it as sage. And then I open a terminal shell and type "cd sage" and then type "./sage" in the terminal Then I am getting a page full of errors stating python not found.
