You may want to look at http://ask.sagemath.org/question/314/bessel-functions for some really good ideas about how to work around this (or even to contribute code for it!). Incidentally, what are g, ro, and gro? And k? Please try to include whole code snippets, just in case there is something else going on to cause an error.
