Well, i just go to *http://sagemath.c3sl.ufpr.br/linux/64bit/index.html*and 
pick the newer ubuntu version (in this case, the 12.04 LTS)
that's why a just put the name of the binary package, if you take a look my 
post,  there reads *
sage-5.1-linux-64bit-ubuntu_12.04_lts-x86_64-Linux.tar.gz*
