I wish I had a list of all the times we've uncovered bugs in Maxima that
only happen when you set one or more flags that are rarely used in Maxima
proper... usually with respect to simplification or integration or limits.

Is it possible that the simplifications with Bessel are not valid for all
branches or something? We could ask the Maxima list, in principle, about
whether this is dangerous to set globally or within simplify_full().
