I tried this on the cloud and this is what I get NameError Traceback (most recent call last)<ipython-input-2-695f21166a6f> in <module>()----> 1 F = GF(2^16) NameError: name 'GF' is not defined So it seems it requires me to import something, I am confused ! At the moment I am downloading the tar file for my mac, I will try what you wrote me there. It will take time because the mirrors aren't doing well.
