If you want to install from source then the posted directions
https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/installation/source.html#sec-installation-from-sources
do refer to homebrew or conda.
However, I think the binary does have the latex style file inside a texmf
subdirectory somewhere.
Hopefully a more knowledgeable person will give a more helpful response.
