Indonesia's Indofood H1 net profit more than doubles on strong sales JAKARTA (Thomson Financial) - Indonesia's largest instant noodle maker PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk said on Friday its consolidated net profit in the six months to June more than doubled, driven by stronger sales.
Net profit rose to 827.45 billion rupiah ($90.36 million) in the first half from 367.18 billion rupiah a year earlier. Sales climbed 53.8 percent to 18.92 trillion rupiah. Operating profit grew 159.3 percent to 2.58 trillion rupiah from 994.03 billion rupiah. Indofood said its consolidated results include the first-half result of PT Perusahaan Perkebunan London Sumatra Indonesia (Lonsum), which it bought last year. It said its consumer branded products, which include noodles, food seasonings, snack foods and nutrition and special foods, posted sales growth of 30.3 percent.
