Judul: [giat-b2w] Letter from BikeJava to B2W Community

Dear Sahabat Pesepeda,

pribadi, sedangkan jika para sahabat ingin mendukung tujuan mulia

Mari kita dukung BikeJava2011!!!!

Hey Bike to Work crew!

Apa kabar? My name is Mark Sueyoshi, I’m a volunteer English teacher
in Parung, Bogor and a cyclist. I want to invite you to join me and
the BikeJava2011 team in our mission to reach out to communities
across the beautiful island of Java!!

Who area we you ask? My fellow volunteer Heather Halk and I have been
teaching in Indonesia for 9 months. We are joining forces with the
cycling maniac of Bandung, Mas Wang, to create a totally terrific
trio! We all share a passion for peddles, spokes and helping folks!

What are we doing? We are raising donations to help local Indonesian
non-profits to continue to help their own communities. BikeJava2011
has 3 goals:

1) To show the world the great work Indonesians are doing to
improve this great country!
2) To help smaller organizations who do not have much support yet
3) To cycle because it’s just really fun, and we’re a little crazy!

We will also volunteer some of our time along the way to connect to
the communities.

Why are we doing this? The BikeJava2011 team is doing this because
they want to return a little bit of all the kindness that Indonesia
has given them. Countless meals and laughs have been shared with us;
our Bahasa Indonesia may be a jelek sometimes but our love of cycling
makes us feel like we belong to cycling communities everywhere in
Indonesia.

BikeJava will support 4 organizations and their causes.

In North Jakarta we will support Klinik Anak Bangsa by paying for a
major operation for a child who absolutely cannot afford it.

In Sukabumi we will donate supplies to Satria Muda a young
environmental conservation group who is educating the Upstream
Cisadane area villagers on the importance of biodiversity. They will
use the supplies for organic farming and tree cultivation and use
20-30% of the profits directly for conservation.

BikeJava cyclists will stay with them for a day to volunteer by
teaching English and working on the farms.

In the West Bandug area, we will donate books and school supplies and
teach at a poorly

funded public school, SMPN3 – Batujajar, where students must travel 30
minutes to 2 hours by foot to reach school everyday.

Finally, in Yogyakarta , BikeJava will help promote Indonesian arts by
donating supplies and running an art workshop for children in a nearby
kampung.

So what can you do? We are accepting donations in any amount, every
little bit helps! All donations will go directly to the 4
organizations, none of the donations will be spent for trip-related
expenses like food, bike repairs, places to stay, or personal
expenses.

OR if you can’t help with money send an encouraging text, facebook
message, or a tweet!
