NOTICE OF RACE - 2013 SAISA Men's Single-handed Championships
DATE:Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 and Sunday Sept. 29 (if needed)HOST: University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL and U.S. Sailing Center, Miami, FL
LOCATION: The event will be held at the U.S. Sailing Center: US Sailing Center 2476 S Bayshore Dr Miami, FL 33133-4730 (305) 854-1058 BOATS: Each competitor must supply one fully rigged Full Rig Laser.ELIGIBILITY: All SAISA Teams in good standing, no more than 4 competitors per school.
RSVP: All teams must RSVP by email to [email protected] by 5:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 26. Please supply full name of competitor(s), school, and graduation year. REPORT TIME: 9:00 AM SKIPPER'S MEETING: 9:30 am ROTATION: Rotations will be distributed at the skippers meeting. Competitors will rotate boats after each race. FORMAT: Single round robin or 10 races, TBA at competitors meeting. Three races will constitute a series.CHARTER AVAILABILITY:A limited number of boats may be available for charter from Sail-Laser Miami, located at the U.S. Sailing Center facility. Charter cost and liability are to be arranged between the participant and Sail-Laser and do not involve the University of Miami or the US Sailing Center.
PARKING: Limited public parking is available in a lot adjacent to the US Sailing Center.
NATIONALS: The top 2-3 finishers will qualify to represent SAISA at the ICSA/LaserPerformance Singlehanded National Championships (Glen S. Foster Trophy) @ Sail Newport/Salve Regina University & Brown University on Nov. 8-10, 2013, depending on the final ICSA allocation for SAISA.
