FN produced 3 references, the wikipaedia one is the only one worth
reading and it supports Ashley! The other two articles are not
referenced adequately and are not worth reading. One is supported by a
radiation shielding company; look closely and note Mr Tripathy's role.
There are no data....just a biased opinion in print.
Lets keep things objective. No grandmother tales, no stories about
'someone', no noise.
No studies have conclusively _shown _any side effects even though
hundreds of /billions /of calls must 've been made by now. (There are
3.8 billion phones in use). By the way, this is the key sentence in
the WHO study: /"The World Health Organization
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Health_Organization>, based upon
the consensus view of the scientific and medical communities, has
stated that cancer is unlikely to be caused by cellular phones or
their base stations and that reviews have found no convincing evidence
for other health effects.^[2]

Let it be known that NOT having a signal is far, far more dangerous
than any speculative thinking about the grandchildren. /Break a leg or
have a heart attack, and you'll know exactly what I mean./ Mobile
phones save life on a daily basis. Almost all calls to emergency
services from outdoor locations are made from mobiles in the developed
world and indeed parts of India.
Lets embrace progress in Saligao for once and celebrate the arrival of
the mast when it comes.

Oh oh! Have some sort of computer glitch...realised that my mail to
Saligaonet on same subject seems to have copied itself again though I
sent it once...strange!. Sorry SaligaoNetters! Mea culpa! This is
the second time this has happened in a week....
Just saw Maurice's mail but am now hesitant to reply there incase
everything gets copied once again. But what does taking care of
opposition mean?... I am with Rico's wording on this point.....
Regarding the good news for some or should I say most???...
that permission is granted by a private property owner to construct
the tower...all the best to the owner & to those around within the
specified radius... & to all who are having woes.....
I will never believe that the use of mobiles poses no risks...... I
think we need to read more if such things are to be debated, so if
Ashley has everything on this subject, yeh he might as well share it
with us so that we can be better informed. I for one prefer the
landline & use the mobile only in emergencies....you know
when?.... when I need to call Luwell to pick me upOpen-mouth
smile provided I remember to carry that extra item of course or can
hear it ringing when it is snug in the bag.
Hey Rico! What debate? Was there a debate on Saligaonet & except for
Val & Ashley & now Maurice's mail, I didnt receive the rest in my mail
box? Computer glitch again or just the new format of Hotmail which is
driving me crazy....aaaargh!
