Even when I have the computer and internet, today? Even the Portuguese consider
(ed) 6 generations as *Family*.
A Chart for figuring relationships is appended below. Reads better in HTML but
am not sure that format will go through.
Portuguese? Huh! When in Rome do as the Romans! When setting up your family tree & when I'm setting up mine (which I doubt I'll do, too many relatives spread around the world, cant even begin to count them once removed or twice removed) then the chart will come in use & you will then be able to trace your 31st cousin as my mum used to say, or to your ancestors who could be amongst those mentioned in Fr. Nasciment's postings. But for now & on Saligaonet I'll stick to the minimum... & you? Well if you have a mind to, I guess you could go to the 10th generation & fill our archives too eh? You'll find that I'm also your cousin ...removed removed! (Grin) as I have many relatives in Saligao itself but...... cousins, kissing cousins & what they call "daijim".... too many to even think about... (grin grin)
Another thing Rico, the email address on the list may belong to a Janis or Janice, but it is not Janice nee Vaz & my opposite neighbour in Donvaddo, I checked that after my posting as got her sister Patricia on the line. So maybe when you next change or update the list you could do the needful.
