The test as such can't be scheduled. Also the normal sending of a page uses
the exact same function as the test button, so that should't give a real
difference.

Subject: [SA-list] Utility for checking the modem

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a utility to be able to schedule a test page
via a modem from a W2K workstation running Servers Alive.

I sometimes have problems with SA not being able to page due to the modem
not hanging up properlyor not getting a line. However when I do a test page
from SA everything starts working again. I would really like to use the test
page facility in SA if this is at all possible (or could it be an
enhancement for the next version).

I have some really critical external checks (checking that information is
coming in from flood warning river level stations) and if one of those fails
I would really like to know about it. I would (for peace of mind) like to
test page my cellphone at intervals to make sure SA is paging properly.

Can anyone help.

Thanks - Russell
