I have a requirement to monitor a number of servers Event Logs, particularly the application logs and system logs. These Servers are a mix of NT4.0 Svr and Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
I am monitoring these machines from a Windows 2000 Professional system and I am implementing Server Alive to perform monitoring duties. Does anyone have any ideas how I might be able to set up a check using SA to monitor these logfiles for STOP Error or WARNING Messages? Any ideas would be appreciated as currently I have to monitor these logfiles by opening each event log on each server and manually checking for these occurrances.
