Title: Admin $ drive mapping when not domain admin account

Dirk,

Recently we have migrated a new network into our existing.  There has been some funky administration occurring in this site, and many servers are only a member of a workgroup the same name as the domain.

When doing disk space checking on these machines, I must either user machine-name\administrator, or administrator only, or in the case where it is a server on the domain (trusted 2 way) domain-name\administrator account.  Since all of my existing checks are using domain authentication (since the user account is pulled from the user logged in on servers alive machine, a member of the domain admin group).  Servers alive is not running as a service

What I have been seeing, and there seems no consistency, is that's servers alive will map the drive locally to the first available drive letter.

Being that I have over 30 disk space checks on machines that are not members of the domain, eventually the machine runs out of mappable drive letters.

I figured as a dirty solution I could run a batch at the end of each cycle using net delete to remove the drive letters.

I thought maybe this had something to do with some servers not being checked against their name and only their ip address, but it sometimes maps to ip address these and not names, and sometimes maps via names also

Any thoughts anyone

Version 3.3.1138 Win2k sp3 local running, no service.  Servers-alive is a member of domain and is running under an account which is a member of the admin group.
