Dirk, I have checked through the archives, I didn't see an answer to this problem, maybe it's just me being stupid!!!
I have created a check in SA v4.0.1327 using the external countfiles check to monitor a directory on a server for the presence of files. I then used the Ctrl-D, New entry based on - option to create a second check to monitor a second directory on the same server, also for the presence of files, changing the Server name, Pretty name: and the countfiles section. The countfiles.ini is OK, I have a number of other countfiles checks that were previously set up on V3 and they have imported and run fine on the new version. The problem I am experiencing is that when I open either of the new checks and edit them, then click on update both of the entries are updated. The GUI shows a different Pretty name: for each of these entries, but when you double click to edit or select the Edit button, it show the same details for both entries. If you save these changes to the Hostfile it saves identical entries for both, and if you start up Servers ALive again it displays both the entries the same. If you then edit either entry the changes are made to both entries but the Pretty name: on the GUI is not update on one of the entries although if you edit this entry the Pretty name: in the edit dialogue is displayed identically to the other one. I have set up another check form scratch and this is OK but I am having problems using the Ctrl-D option to creat new checks. Any ideas what is going on?
